Knowledge: - To introduce topic of the lesson Sports and Games. To teach/ introduce how to able to revise / teach the names of some equipment to be used in some sports / games. Ss also learn how to pronounce the sounds /e/ and /ổ/ correctly. + Vocabulary: - use the words related to the topic Sports and Games;; + New words :aerobic; career; competition, equipment, fit, goggles, gym, karate, marathon, racket, score, shoot, sporty, take place, tournament - To pronounce the sounds /e/ and /ổ/ correctly; - express and respond to congratulations; + Grammar: - use the past simple; - use imperatives to tell someone to do something; 2. Competence: Students will be able to revise / teach the names of some equipment to be used in some sports / games and learn how to pronounce the sounds /e/ and /ổ/ correctly.To practice pronouncing these sounds. 3. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Text book, laptop, louspeaker, projector - Students : Text books, . - Work Arrangements: T-Ss , group works; individual C. PROCEDURE: I. Warm up: Brainstorm - T asks Ss to the board and write words related to sports and games. Activity 1. Write the right words under the pictures. 1. Pre-teach vocabulary: - racket (n) cỏi vợt (cầu lụng..) - googles (n) kớnh bơi - sports shoes (n) giầy thể thao - sporty (n) khỏe mạnh , dỏng thể thao. - marathon (n) cuộc đua ma-ra-tụng - champion (n) vụ đich - competition (n) cuộc đua - Ask Ss to look at the pictures and see if they can write the words under the pictures. - Have Ss work individually. Tell them to put the words and phrases given under the right pictures. - Check their answers as a class. Explain the meanings to them If necessary. If there Is enough time, have Ss give examples. - Allow them to share their answers before discussing them it as a class. Then have Ss practise saying the words. - Check and confirm the answers. * Key: 1. ball 2. sports shoes 3. boat 4. racket 5. goggles 2. What sports are these things for?
