- WEEK 27 Teaching date: Thursday, April 28th 2024 REVIEW 3: SELF – CHECK PART 1, 2, 3 I. OBJECTIVES: 1. Language focus/Knowledge: - Vocabulary: (review) yogurt, yams, yo-yos, zoo, zebu, zebra, sliding, riding, driving, grapes, cake, table, - Sentence pattern: (review) + What do you want? – I want some___________ + Do you like the____________? -> Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. + They’re ____________ ( V-ing) + The____________is/ are on the table. - Skills: Integrated skills (reading, writing and listening, speaking) 2. Competences: - Recognize target words and sentence pattern. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: - Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English. II. TEACHING AIDS: - Pictures, E- book, computer, projector, pictures, recording. III. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: 5’ Game: slap the board. *Aims: to help ss review some vocabulary that they learnt. *Teaching techniques - grouping, miming, ask and answer. *Procedure: -Write the words on the board - Call 2 Ss to go to the board and ask them to slap the - SS listen and play word when T says one word aloud. game. - After finishing the game, the student slaps more correct words will be the winner. - Say “Open your book page 55 and look at Review - SS open their book.

Draw ss’ attention to the boxes. Check - Look at the picture and comprehension. listen. - Encourage some ss to point to the pictures and say the words in front of the class . - SS listen. - Play the recording for ss to listen and tick or cross on the box. - Ss do the task. - Let ss to listen again and check . - T gets feedback *Keys: 1.tick, / 2.tick / 3. cross /4.cross *Outcome: Ss can to recognize target sounds while listening Activity 2 2. Listen and circle: 9’ *Aims: to recognize target words while listening *Context: sound grids: a, y, i, z *Teaching techniques - techniques in teaching writing. - individual, ask and answer - using flashcardas, pictures *Procedure: - Ss look and say. - Have ss look at the letter and say. - Ss point and say. - Encourage some ss to point to the letter and say the words in front of the class - SS do the task. - Play the recording for ss to listen and circle the correct answer. - SS tell their answer. - Let ss to listen again and check.

Write and say:9’ *Aims: to write the letter a, y, i, z to complete target words *Context: Picture about :popcorn, kitteen, sand and rainbow. *Teaching techniques - techniques in teaching writing. - individual, ask and answer - using flashcardas, pictures *Procedure: - Ss look and listen. - Have ss look at the pictures and say what they can see. Draw ss’ attention to pictures. Check - Ss look and say. comprehension. - Have time for ss to look at the pictures and write - Ss do the task. the correct letter. Read and tick . 9’ *Aims: to correctly identify and pronounce target words and sentence pattern. *Context: Three questions, each cointaining one or more sentence pattern and a pair of pictures. *Teaching techniques - techniques in teaching listening - individual, pairworks, ask and answer - using flashcardas, recording, pictures *Procedure: -Look at the picture and -Have Ss look at the pictures and say what they can listen. see.
